Extra Crispy, Original Dog Portrait Painting
£345.00
Some things are simply too tempting to ignore.
In Extra Crispy, a hopeful hound stretches its nose skyward, following the irresistible scent of bacon just beyond its view. It can't quite see what's on the table, but it knows perfectly well that something delicious is happening up there.
Loose, expressive brushwork and delicate graphite and coloured-pencil marks bring texture and character to the pared-back composition. Soft, warm neutrals contrast with the rich pinks of the bacon and an unexpected splash of green, creating a playful yet distinctly contemporary painting.
Full of personality without taking itself too seriously, Extra Crispy brings a little humour and character to the everyday.
An original mixed-media painting on paper. Hand-painted in my studio.
