Meet the Artist...
I’m Carla Tracy, an artist working with paint, oil pastel, and pencil to create personality-led dog portraits.
I’m drawn to expression first, the look, the pause, the quiet details that make each dog instantly recognisable. Every portrait is approached as an individual artwork, guided by character rather than a formula.
Your Custom Portrait
Portrait commissions are approached as original artworks, guided by personality first.
Some portraits allow more room for painterly detail and interpretation, while others remain pared back and minimal. Occasionally a subtle styling detail appears — a softly wrapped jumper, a pair of sunglasses, a quiet nod to how we sometimes see our dogs through a very human lens — but always in service of their character rather than novelty.
That said, simplicity is never an afterthought. Some of the most powerful portraits are the quietest ones, with no accessories at all — just your dog, exactly as they are.
