Beloved is an original contemporary dog portrait celebrating the tenderness and devotion shared between a dog and their person.
Created by hand in my studio using acrylic, graphite and coloured pencil, it captures a black whippet being held close as a person bends gently towards its head. The dog’s deep black form contrasts with soft blush and chalky white, while expressive lines and visible marks give the intimate moment a modern, tactile quality.
Part of The Shape of Trust collection, Beloved belongs to a series of original dog painted portraits that balance expressive character with pared-back contemporary design.
